The Technical Administration currently has around 350 employees. Our mission is to provide the residents of Örebro with good municipal technical services. Environmental consideration, good economy, and quality are the cornerstones of our operations. We are looking for someone who wants to influence the city's spaces with beautiful parks.

About the position

We are looking for a team leader with experience in park maintenance for construction and operations. We offer a varied role where the focus will primarily be on supporting employees in their operational work. You will have extra responsibility for planning and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. You will have two fellow team leaders with their own teams of park workers, where you will complement and support the teams in the operational aspects of the team leader role as needed.

  • informing and instructing employees and being responsible for daily leadership
  • representing the organization clearly
  • ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
  • monitoring developments within the work area
  • working and documenting in existing operational systems
  • developing TA plans and management checks
  • ordering materials/machines
  • possibly participating in procurement

About the workplace

Within the Park and Street Operations, about 150 employees work in three units focusing on the operation, maintenance, and development of streets, traffic, squares, parks, and parking. We are a development-intensive organization actively working to increase our customer dialogue and meet the needs and wishes of citizens.

The construction and operations team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of parks, trees, playgrounds, bridges, industrial tracks, pedestrian and bicycle paths, road construction, snow removal, ice control, asphalt restoration, asphalt maintenance, and new street construction. The construction and operations team is also responsible for ongoing planning and development within the operational area.

Qualifications

You are self-sufficient and can structure your work efficiently. You can collaborate with others but also have the ability to work independently. You need to have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • gardening education KY/YH, vocational training in parks/gardening, or Natural Resource Program/Gardening at high school/university level
  • driver's license B
  • good computer skills
  • experience in leadership
  • experience in park maintenance

Meritorious:

  • experience working in municipal operations
  • good plant knowledge
  • BAS P BAS U
  • work on roads
